Keith D. Dawkins
Keith Dawkins joined Boston Scientific Corporation in 2008 and is now Global Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President; he is also a member of the Boston Scientific Executive Committee. He qualified in medicine from Guys Hospital, London University in 1975, and continued his training in Oxford and at the Royal Brompton and St Georges Hospitals London. He spent 1983 – 1984 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University on a Fulbright Scholarship. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Southampton University Hospital in 1986, where he was lead clinician in the interventional cardiology research program, and held numerous appointments on hospital, regional and national committees. He was President British Cardiovascular Intervention Society 2000 – 2004 and worked with the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) for a period of four years. He has been an author on more than 750 abstracts, papers, books and book chapters on a variety of cardiac topics.
