Dr. Tam is currently the Consultant & Head of the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine & Geriatrics, Kwong Wah Hospital, Hong Kong and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong in 1994. He received his oversea research and clinical training in Interventional Cardiology at the Brigham & Womenâs Hospital , Harvard Medical School , Boston USA from 2003-2004. In 2010, Dr. Tam established the Hong Kong Society of Transcatheter Endocardiovascular Therapeutics (HKSTENT), the only charitable interventional cardiology organization in Hong Kong and became the Founding Vice-President. He is currently the President of the Society since 2015. He is also currently the council member of the Hong Kong Public Hospital Cardiologists Association (HKPHCA). His special interests included Interventional cardiology: Complex CTO & left main intervention and AMI/ACS management. He was awarded for the best complication case presentation in EuroPCR 2010.
